Hawks on a goal spree

Chesterfield Town U14s 0

Matlock Town Hawks U14s 15

The Hawks’ unbeaten start to the season continued with yet another goalscoring bonanza.

The pace of Miles upfront soon showed as he ran through before laying the ball off for Poole to score. A second for Poole soon followed after a neat midfield move saw Kimpton provide the final pass.

Sub Connor Peacock then used his strength to make it 3-0 and a ball laid down the line by Swale and crossed by Maslauskas-Nicholson saw Kimpton make it four. Maslauskas-Nicholson then claimed a goal for himself.

Peacock went on a goalscoring spree of his own after that and notched up four goals to make it 9-0 at half-time.

The second half started well with substitutes Charlie Horridge, Oliver Brockelhurst and Callum Musgrave making an impact.

The ball was moving well from the backline and Hewitt controlled a long ball, laying off to Reynolds who set up Poole’s hat-trick.

Kimpton added another to his ever-growing tally and Reynolds’s persistence paid off to make it 12-0.

Miles then claimed a goal to reward all his hard work, before Maslauskas-Nicholson grabbed a second. Kimpton was felled in the box and Musgrave stepped forward to claim the penalty, smashed home to round the game off in style at 15-0 to a Hawks team that has now scored an incredible 76 goals in six games.

Man of the Match was again impossible to pick, such was the team performance where everyone played their part.
