Glossop North End rounded off their pre-season in emphatic style with a 4-2 win at Cefn Druids in Wrexham last weekend.

Goals from Jordan Goodeve, Tom Bailey (2) and an own goal were enough to put the oldest club in Wales to the sword, despite resistance offered by the home side.

The win followed a 2-1 victory away at New Mills the previous midweek.

North End begin their North West Counties League Premier Division campaign this Saturday, with Ashton Athletic the visitors to Surrey Street.

Meanwhile, North End will travel to Armthorpe Welfare on Saturday, August 17 in the extra preliminary qualifying round of this year’s FA Cup.
