Wirksworth Albion FC will complete their season in a smart new kit, made possible due to funding from the Derbyshire Community Foundation.

The foundation is an independent local charity, providing grant funding to voluntary, not-for-profit groups across Derbyshire, and specifically The John Weston Fund, set up by local benefactor John Weston in 2002 to provide financial assistance to community and voluntary groups locally.

The club would like to thank everyone associated with these organisations who have helped them obtain this funding, and also Steve and the staff of the Wheatsheaf public house for their support and sponsorship, which has made the purchase of the new kit possible.

The team plays in the Derby City Football League, enjoying a good run of form, sitting third in the Premier Division after an unbeaten run of six games, including fine draws against top two teams Sinfin City and Field Lane, the only points these teams have dropped all season.
