CROMFORD Meadows 1sts lost by 123 runs on Saturday at Nutbrook in Division 6N of the Derbyshire County League.
Nutbrook batted first and their total of 214-8 was totally dominated by a score of 152 not out from opener Daniel Brooks, a knock that included 15 fours and six sixes.
So dominant was Brooks that second highest score in the innings was just 17.
For Cromford Meadows, South African player Darryl Losper impressed with 4-47 from his 14 overs. Vinnie McClean and Scott Cook took two wickets apiece.
In reply, Cromford found the going tough and were eventually bowled out for 91 in 37th over.
Only three batsmen made it into double figures, with Sean Beastall making 14, Darryl Losper 20 and Scott Cook 28.
Peter Warrington, Harry Duckles and Adam Brooks all took three wickets for Nutbrook.
As for Cromford Meadows 2nds, they lost their Division 10N match at home to Selston Town by 218 runs.
Cromford made 67 all out in reply to Selston’s impressive total of 285-8.
