It’s been a week of challenging, windy conditions at Carsington Fishery in which 34 anglers caught 60 fish.
While the rod average of 1.76 was lower than last week’s average of 2.9, the weather had a significant impact on the overall period.
It is worth noting that, on Friday, September 14, the average was 4.5 with 27 fish caught by two of the anglers.
The heaviest rainbow this week was 4lb 2oz, caught by Mr T Smith. Unfortunately, any catches of browns were not recorded.
The tops spots this week have been again in deeper water areas on the eastern side of the reservoir, moving from South to North, especially around the entrance the Fishtail creek, Hall Wood, Stitch Plantation and Upperfields Bay.
