THE successful performances of Derwent Bowmen Archery Club’s junior members show no sign of slowing up just yet.

The Darley Bridge-based club was delighted to hear that Marsie Henderson-Hirst (15) has been invited onto the Great Britain archery training squad for 2012.

The pupil at Lady Manners School has had continued success during the last two archery shooting seasons and has won a number of medals at local and national competitions.

A club spokesman added: “As a member of an enthusiastic archery family – dad Dean, mum Jane and sister Eva all shoot for Derwent too – we are sure that Marsie will receive all the encouragement she needs to shoot well at this new, higher level of archery. Well done Marsie!”
