Team Captain Charles Wright extended his unbeaten run to 23 rides as Buxton Hitmen recorded back-to-back victories in the National League.
Despite trailing by 13 points by heat ten at Stoke on Saturday, the Hitmen managed to pull together to snatch a narrow 47-46 victory in the final heat.
Sunday saw the team host Kings Lynn Young Stars and, spurred on from the previous night’s win, started the meeting with two successive 4-2s.
Two tactical rides from the visitors made little impact as the Hitmen recorded a 59-31 win.
Team Manager Jack Lee said: “We did really well this weekend, the boys were on fire.
“We’ve got to keep on a roll now. The team is riding full of confidence and so we can only build from that, so hopefully we can keep this going now and move up the league.”
