TWO ladies from Bakewell Golf Club have been displaying their golfing prowess after each securing a hole-in-one.
Val Cousin, this year’s Ladies Captain at the club, displayed her considerable skill at the game by sinking a hole-in-one on the 18th hole.
She was playing in the club’s Marvin Cup competition and took a seven wood off the tee.
Then, a week later, Barbara Pennington also sank a hole-in-one, this time on the ninth hole.
Since Bakewell is a nine-hole course, this was in fact the same hole. Barbara was playing in the Furniss and Hassall Cup competition and took a driver off the tee.
And so, the Bakewell Ladies were twice lucky enough to enjoy the traditional hospitality extended in the clubhouse by hole-in-one scorers.
