TASTER sessions organised as part of the 100th birthday celebrations of Matlock’s Hall Leys Park have proved so successful that they are to continue for another month.
The five sessions to date have attracted over 40 people who have tried their hand at bowls.
As a result, the sessions are to continue every Friday during May but will move to the evening, between 6pm and 8pm, to attract those who may not be available to attend during the day.
As part of the centenary celebrations, Derbyshire Dales District Council has again agreed to waive charges for the use of the green and bowls hire.
Members of Matlock Park Bowls Club will be hosting the event and will welcome people of all ages.
Visitors are asked to wear flat soled footwear.
