Matlock-based Jesters Fight Club’s female instructor Rachel Rose has made it three knockouts on the trot.
Rachel Rose travelled south to Aylesbury on Sunday, June 10, to face Fulham’s Samantha Ryan under full contact kickboxing rules.
The opening round didn’t look good for the Matlock girl as she was dropped for a standing eight count by Ryan. Rose shook off the bad the bad start and let loose with a barrage of punches, forcing the referee to give Ryan a standing eight count of her own.
Into the third round and Rose was building momentum, looking the far stronger fighter, forcing two more standing eight counts, resulting in the referee stopping the fight in Rose’s favour, making it her third knock out in three fights since her comeback at the end of last year.
Rachel Rose will now travel to Dublin to challenge the current Five Nations champion Alex Ward for her title on September 22, followed by the ICO world championships in Paris in November.
