MATLOCK runner Tony Barrable has been at it again, winning his latest running title in last week’s Sinfin 10km Classic Race.
Around 300 runners entered a rather damp race at Elvaston Castle, due to heavy overnight thunderstorms. The wet conditions made this event more like a cross country race but Tony was equal to the challenge, winning the vets over 50s title, coming in 12th overall, making this the 74th title win of his running career.
Tony explained: “My time was 38mins 41 secs. I would have liked to have been a minute or two quicker, but I’m not getting any younger!”
