The line-up includes Angela Barnes who was a regular team member on the fifth series of Mock the Week, has appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News and Eddie Izzard’s Laughs in the Park on television and on Stephen K Amos’s Life, an Idiot’s Guide and in the BBC New Comedy Award final, both on radio.

Angela’s writing credits include The News Quiz, The Now Show and Newsjack, all for BBC Radio 4.

Anthony King will also be bringing the laughs to Darley Dale on the opening night. He has more than 20 years’ experience on the national circuit, with comedy club gigs in theatres, arts centres and at festivals.

In the last few years, Anthony has started writing songs and now has ‘song sets’ as well as stand-up sets.

He’s as at home with a quiet listening audience as he is in the bustle of a rowdy club and has a set full of punchlines.

The bill is completed by funny guy James Cook.

Hosting the night is Spiky Mike who has been described as friendly enough and competent enough to get the audience hushed and pointing roughly in the right direction.

Doors open at 7pm and food is available until 7.45pm.

The show begins at 8pm. Tickets are £10 in advance. To book or for further details, visit www.funhousecomedy.co.uk
