There’s a rare treat for acoustic music lovers when Canadian troubadour Dan McKinnon appears at the Concert Room, Nailers Club, Belper, as part of his UK tour, on Saturday, November 17.
Dan is an engaging Nova Scotian performer with a room-shaking glorious baritone voice, skilful guitar work and well-observed story songs.
Included in his performance will be songs by the late great Stan Rogers, sung by Dan in the North American style, just as they were intended. You can hear from the moment he steps in front of an audience that Dan is one of the most sincere and genuine performers on the folk scene.
With six solo recordings to his credit, Dan McKinnon is a seasoned musician who has accumulated a wide-ranging ensemble of stage appearances throughout Canada, USA and Great Britain. He puts so much heart and soul into his music that listening to him live is a real moving experience.
