The hoard from Dovedale consists of 26 coins, mostly late Iron Age but including three Roman coins which pre-date the invasion of Britain in AD 43.

They have been loaned by the National Trust for long-term display at Buxton Museum and Art Gallery.

The free workshop, at which participants can make Iron Age-style pictures, will be held on Friday, November 1, with sessions from 10am to midday and 1pm to 3pm. For more details, call 01629 533540.
