Darley Dale Film Society will be screening Alenjandro Inarritu’s Babel at the Whitworth Centre on Thursday, March 8.
The legendary curse put on man at Babel was that he would be unable to communicate with his fellow man. The film explores the premise that, in a world bursting with technology, we still fail to communicate with each other at the most basic level. This drama snowballs like a game of consequences as it unfolds across three continents.
All films are screened in the Terrace Room, The Whitworth Centre, Darley Dale. Films are screened at 7.45pm.
Annual membership costs £25 which gives you free entrance to all of the films screened throughout the season. Guest tickets cost £4. For further information about the societ, contact Ed Runham (chairman) on 01629 732898 or Chris Strawford (vice-chairman) on 01629 735883.
