Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at New Mills Art Theatre

Panto time at New Mills Art Theatre brings Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to the stage for 2016.

This classic tale gets the full treatment from the cast who are ready to sing, dance and crack daft jokes.

To protect the beautiful Snow White, the Seven Dwarfs, Fairy Fortune and handsome Prince Ferdinand of Farawasia do battle with wicked Queen Avarice to thwart her quest for power. Along the way there are must- have ‘laugh mongers’ - Chuckles the Court Jester, Justice Quill, Scribbles and Slurp the Palace drain cleaner – all led by the outrageous, but oh so gorgeous, Dame Edna Bucket!

Snow White is played by Jessica Jordan and the prince by her real-life husband Andrew.

This is the perfect tonic to cheer up all the family after the Christmas and New Year parties are over and everyone has returned to work or school. You can sing, shout and join in the fun that is only experienced in traditional pantomime.

Last year’s panto was so good that it was awarded two Association of Community Theatre awards.

The Art Theatre has a 500-seater auditorium and licensed bar and is entirely run and supported by society volunteers for the community. All profits from ticket sales go back into the upkeep of the theatre.

Matinee performances book up very quickly and are always full houses. This year there are matinees on Saturdays plus a Sunday matinee by popular demand.

Snow White takes place on Friday, January 29, at 7.15pm, Saturday, January 30 and Sunday, January 31 at 2.15pm, Friday, February 5 at 7.15pm and Saturday, February 6 at 2.15pm and 7.15pm.

Tickets £7 and £9 with discounts on block bookings, available from the box office on 01663 742951 or call in at the Art Theatre on Sundays from 2pm to 3.30pm.
