The Peak Guitar Quartet, featuring Nadia Marsh, Mick Pearce, Derek Taylor and Steve Marsh, will perform at Bakewell’s Medway Centre on Saturday, May 17, at 7.30pm.
The evening will feature music for four guitars, two guitars and solo guitar and will include a wide variety of music from around the world.
Compositions by Jenkins, Vivaldi, Albeniz, Bonfa, Marsh, Gangi, Farrauto, Abreu, Bottai and Dylan will be among the selections.
Tickets are £10 and proceeds will be given to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, near Dinnington.
The hospice needs more than £3m to provide vital services for young patients and their families and receives only five per cent of statutory funding towards its requirement.

n There is to be a Spring Market and Craft Fayre at the Grand Pavilion in Matlock Bath this weekend.
It it taking place on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18, between 10am – 5pm on both days.
Entry to the weekend event is free.
The weekend Family Craft and Gift Market features jewellery, knitting, cards, sweets, craft kits, vintage good and much more.
The cafe at the venue will also be open.

n Matlock Artists Society is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
The society plans to make its annual exhibition a huge success, by advertising widely to attract lots of visitors.
The big gallery at Arkwright Mill, Cromford has been booked, from July 5-17.
The society is delighted that the Duke of Devonshire has accepted the invitation to open the exhibition.
The exhibition opens daily from 10am to 5pm, and admission is free.
Entries are judged by professional artists and winners will be awarded trophies.
There will be paintings, prints, cards and some ceramics for sale.
There are shops, a car park and refreshments available on the site.’
