Bolsover Drama Group hosts the most swellegant, elegant party this year as they put on Cole Porter’s classic musical High Society.

It is June 1938, and Oyster Bay socialite Tracy Lord is planning her wedding to equally pretentious executive George Kittredge when ex-husband Dexter Haven arrives to disrupt the proceedings.

Additional comic complications arise when reporter Mike Connor, who is there to cover the wedding, also falls for the bride-to-be.

Throw into the mix a drunken uncle, philandering father, mischievous kid sister and a score of classic Cole Porter songs including Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Let’s Misbehave and True Love.

High Society is on at The Bolsover School from October 8-11 at 7.15pm with a Saturday matinee at 2pm. Advance tickets are £8 (concessions £7), on the door £9 (concessions £8). Tickets from www.ticketsource.co.uk/event/53895 or by calling 01246 850402.
