Inspiral Carpets, stalwarts of the late Eighties Madchester scene, will play at an indie all-dayer.
Armed with a cannon stuffed with household hits, the Inspiral Carpets will support Echo & The Bunnymen at The Gigantic Indie All Dayer at Manchester Academy on May 23.
Following on from their triumphant comeback in 2014 with their high flying Spitfire single and a warmly received self-titled album to boot, the heroic Mancunian band will continue the celebrations at Gigantic. The band will be playing with their full and original 1983 line-up, which has seen the return of their iconic front-man, Stephen Holt.
One of the best-loved indie bands of all time, Inspiral Carpets have motched up hits such as Caravan, This Is How It Feels, Dragging Me Down, Move and Saturn 5.
Other acts confirmed for Gigantic include Pop Will Eat Itself, Gang of Four, Diesel Park West (performing their classic album Shakespear e Alabama), Gang of Four, Echobelly (acoustic) and The Woodentops (acoustic).
The Gigantic Indie All-Dayer will run from 1.30pm-11.30pm.
