Music fans should head for The Loft in Matlock this Hallowe’en as the venue is hosting an event called SpookFest. SpookFest

Doors open at 7pm at the Crown Square-based venue for what promises to be a bumper evening of top entertainment, on Friday, October 31. Entry is free.

Headlining the event will be Facsimile, while other acts appearing will be Early Days, Benjy CJ, Andy Kopjas and Alex Rennie.

Featuring five sets from some of the most talented bands and musicians in the area, SpookFest aims to be one of the best Hallowe’en parties around.

Olliver Taylor-Fry, Facsimile’s lead vocalist, explained “Headlining SpookFest in Matlock this year is a great opportunity for us to play in front of our local crowd.

“The Loft has become home to some amazing events throughout this year and we’d love to add to that list.

“We can’t wait to take to the stage and hope the public join us for a great Matlock SpookFest.”

Formed in 2009, Wirksworth-based Facsimile have gone on to become one of the finest cover bands in the country.

The band includes Olliver Taylor-Fry on lead vocals, lead guitarist Liam Barkley-Smith, bassist Miffy, drummer Dave Layzell and guitarist Gareth Metcalf.

Facsimile have become a firm favourite amongst gig goers in the area and regularly fill the dance floor wherever they play. Expect to hear all your favourite songs, from the 70s right through to modern times. Check out www.facsimileband.com for more.

Early Days are based in Crich. Based in Crich, they have headlined Lion Fest in Wirksworth, and come with a reputation for producing an amazing live performance.

Benjy CJ has gigged over 100 times in the last two years and become one of the most popular artists in Derbyshire. He recently headlined during Matlock Festival as part of his band The Lovemakers, but returns as a solo artist.

Andy Kopjas and Alex Rennie are also not to be missed on what promises to be a Hallowe’en extravaganza of top local music talent.
