Loscoe-based musician Rob Lane, who currently plays bass guitar with Nottingham power pop band Teenage Casket Company, will be heading out on tour this week as part of Texan band People On Vacation, taking in shows throughout the UK, including an appearance at the Hit The Deck Festival at Nottingham Rock City on Sunday, April 20.
People on Vacation is the new band from Bowling For Soup frontman Jaret Reddick and Smile Smile singer songwriter Ryan Hamilton.
This will be the second time Rob, along with Ashby-based drummer Michael Richards, have toured with the band, after performing a handful of dates with them at the end of last year.
“To be out on tour playing with not only a great band, but also one of your favourite bands, is an amazing opportunity. The songs are unbelievable and the people in the band are so much fun to be around,”, commented Rob. “I really can’t wait to get out on the road and have everyone hear the band live!”
n Among the other acts playing at Rock City, The Rescue Rooms, Stealth and The Forum in the Hit The Deck 2014 event this Sunday are Brand New, Saves The Day, Brutality Will Prevail, Ghouls, Gnarwolves, Hands Like Houses, Memphis May Fire, More Than Life, Nai Harvest, Palm Reader, Patent Pending, Rat Attack, The Summer Set, Verses, William Beckett and The Word Alive.
