Dvorak opera on the big screen in Chesterfield

A live screening of Dvorak's Rusalka can be seen on the big screen at Chesterfield Cineworld on Saturday, February 25.

Acclaimed Latvian soprano Kristine Opolais appears in the Met: Live in HD series in the title role of Dvořák’s “lyric fairy tale” Rusalka. This new production is directed by award winning theatre director Mary Zimmerman, and conducted by Dvořák specialist Sir Mark Elder, returning to the Met for the first time in ten years.

The Met: Live in HD is the world’s leading provider of alternative cinema content and seen by approximately three million opera lovers worldwide. The programme has grown every season, and now shows in more than 2,000 theatres in 70 countries, including 175 cinemas in the UK. More than 20 million tickets were sold over the first ten years of the series.
