The Concert Room at Nailers in Belper will play host to an eagerly-awaited gig, to be given on Saturday, November 23, by two special guests from America.
The US duo Dana and Susan Robinson will be performing at Belper Town FC, based on Bridge Street in the town centre, from 8pm.
With their songs of rural America and Old Time Mountain Music, Dana and Susan Robinson are two guitar-playing, banjo-frailing, fiddle-sawing, and harmony-singing interpreters of the US experience.
Their unique blend of contemporary songwriting and traditional Appalachian music helps to bring to their performances a deep understanding of America’s musical heritage.
Dana and Susan come from North Carolina, in the heart of the southern Appalachian Mountains.
They are skilled and experienced performers who can make audiences howl with laughter, or suddenly become hushed with a poignant reflection as they take them on a journey across America and convey the mystery and wonder of the places they visit.
They will also be playing songs and tunes from their latest highly acclaimed album American Hornpipe.
This husband-and-wife team have toured the UK ten times, gaining a dedicated following for their rich harmonies and superb musicianship.
Tickets are £14, concessions £13, from the Ticket Hotline 01773 853428.
