Feast of singing at Memorial Hall

LOCAL group The Heartless Tarts will start both halves of a concert on June 11 that markes the return to Holloway of The Wilson Family.

The Heartless Tarts consist of Alison Green, Helen Boyce, Annie McClimont and Gwenna Carless, all of whom are members of the prestigious Fishpond Choir.

Singing mainly traditional folk songs, their voices blend beautifully in unaccompanied three/four part harmony.

The Wilson Family are regarded by many as the foremost a cappella group on the British folk scene. They consist of brothers Tom, Chris, Steve, Ken and Mike from Teesside.

It is now over 30 years since they started performing as a group and still have their initial enthusiasm, which is very evident to their audiences.

The concert is in the Florence Nightingale Memorial Hall, Holloway. Details and tickets are available from Dave on 01773 856545.
