THE Parish Church of St Michael and All Angels in Hathersage welcomes Liverpool Cathedral’s Ian Tracey for an organ recital on Friday, May 13, at 7.30pm.
One of Britain’s best known and most widely respected musicians, Ian Tracey has been organist at the Anglican cathedral in his home city for almost 30 years.
His performances there on the Willis organ – the largest in the UK – have thrilled thousands of the instrument’s fans from around the world and met with praise from critics.
The recital’s programme includes Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, plus works by Handel, Franck, Derek Bourgeois and others.
