The first 2014 event organised in Wirksworth by the Town Hall Events group takes place on Saturday, January 18.
The entertainment is provided by The Klatsch, in an evening featuring Klezmer music and Klezmer dancing.
Come along and dance at a ‘Klezmer Keilidh’.
If you’ve never done it before, don’t worry as there will be a dance leader on hand to help out.
Never done it before? Don’t worry we have our own dance leader.
The music is so compulsive that you will simply have to dance.
The performance at Wirksworth Town Hall starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £12/£10 and a light buffet is included.
Tickets are available from Traid Links Wirksworth, online at www.townhallevents.ticketsource.co.uk
You can also obtain them via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling Judy or Phil on 01629 822649.
n Longer days and lighter nights will soon arrive and the natural world will begin to wake up.
You can celebrate the lengthening days with Derbyshire Wildlife Trust at its lantern workshop, to be held on Saturday, February 1.
The workshop takes place at the Whistlestop Centre in Matlock Bath.
Use the grounds around the centre as inspiration for your design then create a nature-themed willow and tissue lantern.
The workshop is suitable for adults, children and young people – please note that younger children will need help from an adult.
There are two sessions for you to choose from – 10am-12noon and 1.30pm-3.30pm.
Please book in advance as places are limited. There is a charge of £8 per lantern.
