CLAYFEST is the name of a beer and music festival to be staged at The Gate Inn in Tansley on August 27-28.
It has been named in memory of Timmy Clay, who played in the band The Sabres in the 1960s.
The band supported some very big groups that performed in Derbyshire, like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.
Clayfest will feature performances by 15 East Midlands bands and artistes including The Ornamental Gentlemen, Chloe And The Tomcats, Terry Kilburn, Mark Haworth, Joe Walsh and Causeway Lane.
The entertainment starts at 2pm on both days. There will also be a barbecue and hog roast, plus ten real ales in the beer tent.
Admission is free.
The pub is situated at The Knoll in the village.
