Atmospheric blues band Spikedrivers launch a new year of concerts at a Derbyshire Dales venue.
The three-piece group will be performing at the Whitworth Centre, Darley Dale on Saturday, February 27.
Lead guitarist Ben Tyzack combines raw delta blues with a soulful voice and commanding stage presence.
Ben formed the Spikedrivers in 1992 and they have released seven albums including many of his original songs.
Constance Redgrave plays bass guitar and percussion and adds to the vocals. A native American, she naturally transferred her genetic tribal rhythms into the simple, rock solid bass lines that are her trademark and her ability as a compelling vocalist.
Maurice McElroy on drums, vocals and percussion completes the line up. Born in Belfast, he came to London during the 60s blues and soul boom. His percussive style reflects his passion for the colour and texture of flamenco and African instruments.
The concert starts at 8pm. Bar open from 7.15pm.
Tickets £12.50, available online at www.peakconcerts.co.uk/event/spikedrivers-2 or call 01246 860022 or 01246 812739.
