Catfoot Theatre Company is a brand new small-scale theatre company run from Nottinghamshire that will soon be embarking on a short East Midlands tour with Cowboy Baby, a new show for children set in the Wild West, which should prove one of the main family highlights at this year’s Buxton Fringe.
Catfoot is the brainchild of David Longford, who also works as the Education Manager of the Theatre Royal, Nottingham, and brings to this new company nearly 20 years of experience producing and directing professional theatre.
Cowboy Baby is the company’s first show and is directed and adapted by David Longford, from Sue Heap’s award-winning children’s book.
With just two characters, Sheriff Pa and Cowboy Baby, the show is set at bedtime in the wild wild west. So expect howlin’ coyotes, lassoes, stetsons, prickly cacti and songs and puppetry around the campfire.
Cowboy Baby will be performing at Underground Venues, The Square, Buxton, on Monday, July 11, at 2pm and Saturday and Sunday, July 16 and 17, at 12.30pm. It’s suitable for children aged seven and under and their families. Tickets cost £4.50-£7 from 02081 440 070.
