Finalists bid for place at Splendour fest

Bands will be battling it out for a place in the county’s biggest music festival.

Up for grabs at Nottingham’s Rock City on Sunday, June 15, will be the opportunity to play in front of 20,000 people on the main stage at Splendour.

Two-tone legends The Selector and indie band James headline the festival at Wollaton Park, Nottingham, on July 18.

Mark Del, of community project NUSIC, says: “It’s a great buzz giving Nottingham musicians the chance to play the main stage at Splendour. Last year’s finalists Field Studies were signed to Denizen Management after Denizen boss, Spencer Wells, saw them play.”
