A tense thriller set in the English Lake District in deep winter is set to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

Stone Cold Murder, which will be staged at Buxton Opera House next week, tells the story of the owners of a country house hotel. The couple’s solitude is disrupted by the appearance of a lost climber looking for shelter. As the evening unfolds, it becomes apparent that the stranger’sCh presence in this desolate spot is anything but a coincidence, and soon events take a murderous turn.

The production, by Talking Scarlet, stars Emmerdale’s Freya Copeland, who played Angie Reynolds, and Gary Turner remembered for his role as Carlos Diaz.

Opera House favourite David Callister who recently appeared in Table Manners, will also appear alongside Nick Barclay, another actor who has appeared in more than 220 professional plays.

Stone Cold Murder takes place from Wednesday, April 15, to Saturday, April 18, at 7.30pm. There will be a Saturday matinee performance at 2.30pm.

Tickets are priced at £16 and £19 and discounts are available.
