Roll up, roll up, and witness a brand-new fiendishly funny adaptation of Sweeney Todd – The Demon Barber (one of the most gruesome and gristly Victorian murder tales of all time) at Buxton Opera House on Wednesday, May 4, at 7.30pm.
Meet the monstrous murderer, hear his terrible tale, and then watch him hang horribly for his grisly, ghastly and gruesome crimes.
The production, by Finger In The Pie Theatre Company, is a real treat, incorporating deliciously depraved black comedy with slapstick, clowning, grotesque characters, physical storytelling, live cabaret music and puppetry.
Directed by Alexander Parsonage, and with shadow puppetry by Mark Mander and Sue Dacres (The Muppets, Labyrinth and Rainbow), Sweeney Todd has received rave reviews. Tickets for Sweeney Todd are £14. Call the box office on 0845 127 2190.
