THE Pavilion Arts Centre in Buxton will be hosting an event entitled Beanbag Stories for youngsters, on Sunday, September 18, from 11.15am-12noon.

The venue will be encouraging children aged 2-4 to ‘lose themselves in their imagination’ with an exciting and creative new concept.

Beanbag Stories is taking place every month (starting on September 18) from 11.15am to 12noon.

Beanbag Stories provides a chance for the cheeky monkeys of the area to explore their ‘mind’s eye’ while relaxing on comfy beanbags. The ‘brainchild’ of Buxton Opera House’s Kaleidoscope Learning and Participation team, the monthly event encourages children to learn through storytelling – discovering new worlds, far off kingdoms and setting sail on the seven seas. The unique sessions aim to nurture child development by improving speaking, listening and concentration skills – whilst most importantly having lots of fun! Children can attend as little or as many sessions as they like with no need to commit to the whole season. With stories, sounds and songs, Beanbag Stories delivers effective, creative play for shuffle bottoms and babies.

Tickets for Beanbag Stories are priced at £5 for children with an accompanying adult admitted free. Call the box office on 0845 127 2190.
