Quarndon are up after a successful finale

Two wins in two days were enough to secure promotion into the Derbyshire Premier League for Quarndon at the weekend.

On Saturday, Quarndon beat Staveley Welfare by five wickets.

Staveley were bowled out for 147 as Raja Sohail Haider took 4-25.

They replied with 149-5. Jonny Acton made 42 not out and skipper Nathan Dumelow contributed well to make 35.

On Sunday, Ilkeston Rutland were the visitors to The Common and were beaten by nine wickets in a triumphant finale to the season.

Ilkeston were all out for just 96 as Nathan Dumelow took 4-24 .

Quarndon then made 99-1 to win the game in the 21st over. Thomas Ansell scored 42 not out and Ben Spendlove 46 not out.
