Peak District-based Babbling Vagabonds’ new theatre production concludes its run of performances this weekend.

The Devil and the Three Golden Hairs is being performed in an abandoned quarry as part of this year’s Bakewell Arts Festival.

It can be seen at Holme Bank Quarry, Holme Lane, Bakewell, on Friday, August 12 and Saturday, August 13. Performances are at 6pm and 8pm each night.

Joint artistic director of Babbling Vagabonds is Phil Coggins. He said: “We are delighted to be part of Bakewell Arts Festival. Performing outside is always exciting, it has its challenges as you never know what the weather may do, But when you see the sun set over such a beautiful landscape it is a truly magical experience.”

This is adventure theatre for adults and only the bravest children.

Parking is at the Riverside Business off the A6 Buxton Road. Follow the yellow signs and it’s then a 15-minute walk to the site so allow plenty of time.
