Renowned Tideswell Male Voice Choir will join Richard Arkwright’s Masson Mills Band for a Christmas spectacular at Chesterfield’s Winding Wheel Theatre on Sunday December 8, at 7pm.

A traditional musical feast with all the trimmings, the concert will feature children from South Darley and Longstone primary schools, directed by Louise Hopkins, plus a special visit from Father Christmas and some very special helpers from Helen’s Trust and Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

If you cannot wait until then to hear the famous Tideswell chorus perform, they will be heading to Cheshire for the Bowden Festival on Saturday November 30 for a performance at St Mary’s Church, Bowden, at 7.30pm, featuring a mixed programme including Christmas favourites.

Edwina Currie, president of Tideswell Male Voice Choir, will host the evening, which will also feature guest soprano soloist Charlotte Hoather and Milnrow Brass Band, a brilliant championship section band from Lancashire.

Tickets for both performances can be ordered by calling the choir’s ticket hotline on 01298 77947. Tickets for the Winding Wheel date can also be obtained on 01246 345 222.
