Fundraisers hosted a wine and cheese party in Wirksworth and raised £500 for the Heritage Centre.
The money will be put towards creating a new setting for items which are not currently on display, including costumes donated by the Anthony Gell family.
The centre receives no official funding and is entirely dependent on visitor income and fundraising. Any contributions are welcome.
