Bake-Off star to host Strictly Come Dancing live tour

Mel Giedroyc, star of The Great British Bake Off, will be hosting the live dates, bringing her sense of humour and passion for all things Strictly to the live tour for the first time.

She said: “I’ve been a huge fan of Strictly Come Dancing for many years, so am thrilled to be hosting the 2016 UK Live Tour. The celebrity dancers and their professional partners will make for a sequin-tacular time on stage. Who knows I might even shake a leg myself - as long as Strictly provide me with a surgical corset!”

Mel will be joined by the Strictly Come Dancing judges Len Goodman, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli.

Craig Revel Horwood will also direct the live event for the sixth successive year.

During the live tour, Len, Craig and Bruno will be providing their invaluable wisdom, advice and scores at the end of each performance. As well as competing for the judges’ scores, the celebrities and their dance partners will also be battling to win votes from the arena audiences, who can text vote via their mobile phones.

Strictly Come Dancing The Live Tour visits Sheffield Arena on January 26 and 27 and Manchester Arena on January 30 and 31.
