BAKEWELL/MATLOCK: G&S Society’s take on Patience attracts capacity crowd

A full house greeted the final performance of Matlock Gilbert and Sullivan Society’s 21st anniversary production.

The company’s interpretation of Patience, which was set against the backdrop of the Second World War, starred Helen Booker in the title role.

A Dad’s Army-style Home Guard and wartime music added to the fun of the show which was staged for three nights at Bakewell’s Medway Centre.
