An estimated two million women in Africa suffer from obstetric fistula, a condition caused during childbirth when the birth becomes obstructed. When this happens labour can last for days and usually results in stillbirth. The damage caused to the bladder and /or bowel can lead to double incontinence and result in the women affected being ostracised by their communities.

Tickets for the barn dance cost £8 for adults and £5for under 16s, available from Holland`s Butchers in the village or by phoning 01629 6366580.
