Big night at The Hairy Dog

The Hairy Dog in Derby is the setting on Friday, October 24, for a gig by Big Country.

The performance at the Becket Street-based venue forms part of the band’s Steeltown 30th Anniversary Tour, which will see them performing songs from classic multi-million selling album Steeltown.

Steeltown is Big Country’s second studio album.

Regarded by many as a classic, the multi-million selling Steeltown went straight to the Number 1 slot in the album charts.

The band will perform songs from the album as well as the classic hits and live favourites including Harvest Home, Fields of Fire, In A Big Country, Chance, Wonderland, Look Away and The Teacher.

The band is now made up of Bruce Watson (guitars/vocals); Mark Brzezicki (drums, vocals); Jamie Watson WATSON (guitars/vocals) and former Simple Minds bassist/vocalist Derek Forbes. They will also be augmented on stage by Simon Hough, ex-frontman for Denny Laine (Wings), Eric Bell (Thin Lizzy) (THIN LIZZY) etc.
