“It was an incredible experience,” she said. “These shows are great platforms to launch your career to the next level and get some fantastic events to perform at.

“I have been travelling internationally and have some great opportunities lined up this year, which is exciting.”

Pippa, 23, reached the live semi-finals of the telly talent competition in 2011, helped in no small part by her Lhasa Apso dog Buddy who howled along to her songs.

“He’s brilliant,” said Pippa. “He’s now living the doggy dream; he got a passport and came to live in Cyprus with me for six months touring our own show.

“If he’s feeling up to it, he may make an appearance at the Valentine’s show.”

Valentine’s Day will see former model Pippa team up with David Julien, finalist in The Voice 2012, to sing at The Royal Oak pub, Barlborough.

Pippa said: “I’m really looking forward to singing with David; I’m a huge fans of his from The Voice. He is very talented and has an extremely unique and lovely voice.”

The evening will be particularly special for Pippa as The Royal Oak is owned by her parents, Karen and Michael Langhorne.

Taking love songs as its theme, the night will feature the diverse talents of its performers. Pippa said: “I am a classically trained soprano singer and David is more modern and pop songs. Together we are going to combine genres to create a different sound.

“The song I’m looking forward to performing most is I’m Kissing You by Des’ree and David’s is “She Will Be Loved” as it was his most popular song from the show.

“David and I will be singing songs together and solo during the two hours of the night, while people are enjoying their meal. As it’s Valentine’s Day, we want to make it as personal and intimate as we can.”

On the most romantic day of the year, Pippa and Julien will be cheered on by the special people in their lives. Pippa, who lives in Worcester, said: “Our partners are our number one fans. They will be in the restaurant and we get to perform to our loved ones which is even better.”
