Busy weekend at the George and Dragon

The George and Dragon, based on Bridge Street, Belper, hosts Neverland on Friday, April 17.

The Celtic rock band were massive in the 80s in Derby and on the festival scene, usually playing gigs charging £10 per ticket. This gig will be free entry with collection boxes for the Breast Cancer charity being passed around. Supporting act is Joe Brown. Music starts around 8pm.

Saturday sees rock psychedelic band Satnams Tash playing from 9pm. Entry is free.

Then, on April 19, there is the return of Jasper’s Sunday late session, with open mic from 8pm till 10.30pm with musicians, poets, speakers and comedians enjoying an evening of laidback acoustic charming entertainment. Entry is free and all are welcome, “providing non-offensive material is used.”
