For this concert musical director Andrew Marples has selected a varied programme which includes four-part harmony selections from The Yeomen Of The Guard, Iolanthe and The Sound of Music.

Popular numbers from Cats will spotlight society members Laura Garner and Phil Jacques and the timeless classics, Unchained Melody and Can You Feel The Love Tonight? are amongst other “favourite things” which will be performed during this concert. Society accompanist Chris Flint will be at the piano.

Tickets are available from society members, the society ticket secretary, Mrs Julia Tew on 01246 418887 and from Chesterfield Tourist Information Centre.

Owing to unforeseen circumstances, the society has postponed its October production of The Yeomen Of The Guard but is now looking forward to staging a performance of this show in autumn 2015 at the Pomegranate Theatre, followed by Iolanthe in 2016.

New members are always welcome. For further information, contact society membership secretary, Val Crick on Chesterfield 277669.
