Chesterfield hosts live music afternoon and launches vinyl release to mark national Record Store Day

Record Store Day will be marked in Chesterfield with an afternoon of live music and the launch of a vinyl release.

Tallbird Records in conjunction with Real Time Live will be running the event on Saturday, April 18, from midday.

Ashley Hutchings (pictured), founder member of Fairport Convention, will compere at Real Time Live, introducing a string of bands including Idle Hands who will play a 15-20 minute slot.

Tallbird Records will launch their first vinyl release, - a 7ins split single featuring Idle Hands on one side and indie/psych band The Amber Herd on the other.

Record Store Day 2015 will see 592 limited edition releases available in independent record stores for just one day.
