Christmas event to be held in Fritchley

The village of Fritchley celebrates Christmas with the lighting of the Christmas tree tonight (Wednesday, December 10) at 7pm.

Local playwright Tim Elgood will be officially switching on the lights, followed by carols on the Village Green with Crich Brass and the The Whatstandwell Warblers.

Santa has promised a visit too, arriving in his vintage car with sweets for the children. Afterwards you will be welcomed into the Village Hall for refreshments and a few party games.

Everyone is welcome - don’t forget your lanterns!
