Comedians brighten up winter nights in Derbyshire town

In Buxton there’s plenty of light relief to brighten the dark nights.

Stephen K Amos, star of Radio 4’s Life: An Idiot’s Guide, will be charming audiences during his Saturday night live show on January 23. Known for his assured feel-good delivery Stephen promises honest, original and sometimes wacky material.

Sunday night at the Arts Centre will see north-east stand-up Tony Jameson present a night of ‘silly stories and witty observations’, mainly about reaching the mid-point of life and wondering if he could have achieved more, were it not for the years playing football manager.

Veteran stand-up comic and multi-talented entertainer Brian Conley will be playing the Opera House on February 7 with everything you’d expect – laughs, sing-songs and daftness galore.

Other comedians during February include Adam Hills (The Last Leg) presenter and Canada’s Tom Stade and Stewart Francis.
