Darley Dale: Folk trio Lady Maisery to play at Whitworth Centre

Ground-breaking trio Lady Maisery will be performing in Derbyshire, the native home of two of its members, later this week.

The folk outfit were one of the first UK groups to explore the tradition of diddling or tune singing which has nearly died out in England but is still prevalent in Scandanavia and other parts of Europe.

Comprising Hannah James, whose roots lie in Chesterfield, Rowan Rheingans from Grindleford and Hazel Askew, Lady Maisery will play at the Whitworth Centre, Darley Dale on Friday, November 22, at 8pm.
