Defiant steampunks make a return after theft setback

After a nightmare Christmas when all the band’s equipment was stolen just prior to their Xmas Party, BB BlackDog are on tour again, starting with a showcase gig, at the Grand Pavillion Matlock Bath.

Thanks to donations by fans, and dragging out and servicing old instruments, the band will perform along side headliners Dr Hasbeen, Birthrite, Metropolis and Whisky Bob Shaker on Saturday, February 2, as part of a whole day of activities.

Doors open at 11 with free entry until 6pm with a giant craft market, and workshops plus entertainment throughout the day.

From 6pm, the evening entertainment starts, with a charge of £10 on the door, or in advance from www.steampunkrecords.com. Proceeds are going to the Save the Pavillion Fund Charity.

There will also be a stall and auction of items donated to BB BlackDog in order to raise funds to finish replacing their kit.

The Matlock gig is followed by another Derbyshire event at the George and Dragon Belper, on February 8.
