Evening of Irish music at Uppertown Social Centre

McKeefry from Tamworth, who introduce the programme Celtic Fringe on Radio Derby, which has been broadcast on Wednesday nights.

When Ursula married Conor, The Singing Brickie, they moved to live on a farm in Ireland.

They are backed by the Barry Doyle Band. Barry also sings under stage name Farmer Dan. Farmer Dan and Barry Doyle are well known names in the Irish Country music scene and have progressed to become a top recording and dancing attraction. They have toured extensively in Australia and Florida and indeed in Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales.

n The latest Ship Of Fools comedy night takes place in Belper on Saturday, June 13.

Headlining the event at No 28 Community Hall, Market Place, will be Harriet Dyer.

Also on the bill will be Chris McIlroy, Scott Walker, Helen Knott and compere Alan Seaman.

The show starts at 8pm, with doors open at 7.30pm.

Admission to the comedy gig is £7.
